Full Obituary

ROSE J. PEKOL, age 89, of Greenwood, died at Our Lady of Victory Hospital, in Stanley, on Sunday, August 4, 2013. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
Rose Julia Simonelic was born on September 3, 1913 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Frank Sr. and Louise (Trinko) Simonelic. She was raised in the Chicago area and married Edward Pekol on October 21, 1944. They moved to Willard and later to Greenwood.
She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Willard. Rose had
many interests, but especially loved spending time with her family.
Rose will be dearly missed by her children: Rosalie (Charles) Volk of Yellville, Arkansas, Marlene (Donald) Kaczmarek of Withee, Edward Pekol of Greenwood, Robert (Christy) Pekol of Eau Claire; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; one brother: Louis (Shirley) Simonelic of Las Vegas; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward; sisters Mary and Lillian; and brothers Paul, John, George, Joe,
Tony and Frank Simonelic, Jr.
