There will be a rosary service held at the church on Wednesday at 8:30am. Full Obituary ESTHER D. ABRAMOVICZ, age 98, of Thorp, WI, passed away peacefully at Traditions Assisted Living, in Thorp, on Sunday, July 27, 2025 with two nieces by her side. Funeral services will be held at 10:30am on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Lublin, WI, with Fr. Joseph Stefancin officiating. There will be a rosary service at the church on Wednesday at 8:30am followed by visitation until the time of service. Burial will take place in St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Jeff Witt, Ron Borek, Peter Gadke, Keith Nichols, Jason Nichols, Mark Abramowicz, and Paul Abramowicz.
Esther Delores Willger was born on the family farm in Gilman, WI, on October 12, 1926 to Peter J. and Mabel M. (Sletten) Willger. She was raised and received her education in Gilman, WI, graduating from Gilman High School in 1944. After high school, Esther began working as a bookkeeper at Drangle's Cheese in Gilman. She was united in marriage to Walter R. Abramovicz on December 27, 1947 at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Gilman, WI. Esther later became employed with I.T.T. in Thorp, where she worked as a bookkeeper for 27 years. In 2000, she started Papa Cheese with Brian Drangle, which they operated until selling the business in 2008. Esther worked in the cheese industry for a total of 40 years. She was then employed at Thorp Catholic School as a reader for the children from 2010 until retiring in 2013 .
She had many interests, but especially loved spending time with her nieces and nephews, gardening, flowers, fishing, attending hockey games, traveling, sewing, and ceramic painting.
Esther is survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter, on April 15, 1991; two brothers: Glen (Lois) Willger and Norbert (Rose) Willger; and two sisters: Lorraine (Ben) Thomes and Angeline (Alfred) Nichols.
