Full Obituary

     LINDA M. BRISKI, age 72, of Greenwood, WI, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at Marshfield Medical Center in Eau Claire, WI.  Funeral services will be held at 11:30am on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at St. Bernard-St. Hedwig Catholic Church, in Thorp, WI, with Rev. Stanislaus Michael Antony officiating.  Pallbearers will be: Amber Arndt, Rachel Drozd, Megan Serocki, Craig Benzschawel, Travis Serocki, Andy Serocki, Jeremy Serocki, Brandon Wilson, and Nick Wilson. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at St. Bernard-St. Hedwig Catholic Church from 4pm to 8pm, and again on Wednesday from 10:30am until time of service.  Burial will take place in St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery in Thorp at a later date.
     Linda Marie Serocki was born on April 22, 1952, in Browns Valley, MN to James N. and Bernice C. (Homan) Serocki.  In 1961, her family moved to Thorp where she completed her education, graduating from Thorp High School in 1970.  After high school, Linda worked at Berg Equipment and later at Nelson-Jameson, both in Marshfield, WI.  She was united in marriage on March 5, 1977, to Duane M. Briski at St. Hedwig Chapel in Thorp. Once her two sons were born her career transformed to watching over them, being a significant contributor on the farm, and working various part time jobs.  Family was very central to Linda.
     She was a previous member of St. Bernard-St. Hedwig PCCW, and the Clark County Homemakers.
     Linda had many interests; canning, cooking, wine making, bowling, reading, and stamping.  She especially loved her flowers and the hunt to find them at local greenhouses.  Linda also loved spending time with her family and friends, she was especially excited to welcome her first grandchild, Levi Michael Briski.
     She will be dearly missed by her husband, Duane, of Greenwood; her two sons: Brian (Louise) Briski, and their son, Levi, of Fall Creek, WI, Nathan Briski of Gilman, WI; eight siblings: Ronald Serocki of Greenwood, WI, Mona Wilson of Hayward, WI, Marlene (Matt) Wilson of Owen, WI, Denise (Wally) Milas of Lublin, WI, Mark (Becky) Serocki of Thorp, WI, Brenda (Kenny) Pogodzinski of Withee, WI, Jim (Shelly) Serocki of Greenwood, WI, and Mike (Stacy) Serocki of Greenwood, WI; her step-mother: Marian Slowiak of Thorp; her brother-in-law: Jerome (Gay) Briski of Greenwood, WI; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
     Linda was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Tom Serocki, and her brother-in-law, George Wilson.
