Condolences to the Family of Linda M. Briski

Sandee Serocki Richey Baileys Harbor Wi. – Posted On: October 3, 2024

I was so sad to hear of Linda’s passing. I always envision her as she looked when I first met her when she was in her teens. I remember looking up to her as my “older” cousin. Though only a couple years older than I. At the time it seemed much greater. The times we have spoken since left me knowing she was a woman who was quick to laugh or smile. But what really left an impression was her ability to listen, show concern for your concerns. She was in the moment with you. Sadly, we did not spend more time together. Those who had the opportunity to know and share love with Linda were blessed. A special person.

So sorry to hear about Linda; was shocked to say the least. As Ben and I were driving on I 90 from Clarkston, NE to Pierre Saturday night, it was starting to lightning off in the distance, as we got closer it was more intense. It got me to thinking when Mom died, the kids were quite young and inquisitive, they asked where's Grandma; I thought a bit told them to look in the sky and find the brightest star; that's Grandma. Well watching that lightning with all the different colors and designs I thought yep all the Serocki's, Homans, and Briskis are giving Linda one heck of a welcome home howdown...... Fly high Linda.

Our hearts are saddened at the loss of Linda in this life. Linda graduated with my (Ellen) older brother and whenever I saw her she always asked about him. She was such a welcoming, funny person who was so easy to visit with. She definitely will be missed. The one good thought in this tragedy is that I know she’ll be waiting to greet us when our time comes. RIP Linda.

Brian, Louise, Duane, and Nate, I'm so sorry to hear of Linda's passing. It's never fair to lose the family matriarch, and so soon after sweet little Levi was born it's especially hard. Keep her memory alive with your fond stories and pictures and he'll grown up loving his grandma just as much as you all do. My thoughts are with you in this difficult time.

Duane, I’m so sorry to hear of Linda’s passing. I’m happy you & Linda joined the ‘group’ at the annual Briski reunion. It was nice getting to know both of you. Wishing you strength during this time. Jan

Sorry for the loss of Linda. I will always remember a vacation we had together with one of her co-workers Sandy. Sandy drove us to many National Parks and a quick stop in Salt Lake City, UT to visit one of her cousins. Without A/C Linda and I did a lot of napping. After the trip I had the pictures developed and brought them to Linda to see. I asked if I had all the parks named correctly. You can imagine her response when I showed them to her.
Her cousin, Helen Heck Marable

My condolences to the family. Linda used to come to my Stamp Camps when I lived in Stanley. I did help her with some bookkeeping stuff when she was at Denny's.
