Harlan Berg was a dedicated teacher and colleague of both of ours. We spent so many nights working in the concession stand with him; he was the master of the popcorn and Coke machines, in addition to being the man everyone needed to splice their broken films-- just a few of the many things Harlan did to keep the school running smoothly. He was missed when he retired and will continue to be missed by all who knew him.

My thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Berg's family. He began his career in Loyal when I was in high school. Sometimes we weren't the most respectful students but Mr. Berg was definitely a respected teacher. He always did his best and I know my younger sister told me that his teaching helped her when she completed her nurse's training to be a Registered Nurse. Our thoughts and prayers are with his widow and the sons and their families.

Mr. Berg was my teacher in 1963-64 and 1965-66. He was a kind, public-spirited man who always held the interests of others foremost in his consciousness. He was a thoroughly good citizen and a standard bearer at Loyal High. Mr. Berg will not be forgotten. My sincere sympathy to his family.
