Condolences to the Family of Robert A. "Bob" Meyer

Margaret Aumann Davis – Posted On: May 19, 2025

Bob was an excellent friend to my first husband, Don Aumann, and continued to be a faithful friend to us and regular correspondent in the 18 years since Don's death. Our family is sad to learn of Bob's untimely death and we send our gratitude and deepest condolences to his family.

Susy and I felt tremendous sorrow when we learned of Bob's passing. So many great memories of Bobby as a loyal friend, roommate and teammate. We last saw Bob for lunch while driving through St Louis on our way to the 2024 NCAA Wrestling Tournament in Kansas City. We were both concerned about his health asking many questions and encouraging him to do the same with his doctors. So sorry to lose him so early, but we know he is in a better place. The many memories bring a big smile to our faces. Condolences to the family.

Pam and I extend our heartfelt condolences to Bob's family. Bob and I discussed the truths of the gospel and I plan to see him again one day.
His hope was solely in the merits of His Savior Jesus Christ, not placing any trust in his own good works.

Sorry to hear about the loss of Bobby, my prayers and condolences go out to the family. I knew Bobby through wrestling at U.W.-Madison. Rest in peace Bobby and God be with you.

Extending our deepest condolences to the Meyer family. We are keeping you all close at heart and in prayer.
Our hearts are broken. Bob was Godfather to my oldest daughter Sarah. When Benny (Weyer), Sarah’s dad, my 1st husband, passed away in 1982, Bob promised me he would always be there for Sarah. Bob kept that promise. He never missed a holiday or birthday for Sarah. We just spent time with him this past November. I’m so thankful for the beautiful memories we made with him during that time and will cherish the photos we took!
He was going to meet up with my Sarah and her hubby this weekend in St. Louis for the Brewers/ Cardinals game. She’s just lost. Sarah & Andy are still going to go this game in Bob’s memory. They will toast a cold one to Bob while there!
Our hearts cannot contain the deep felt sadness from this loss. Bob was the most amazing person, friend and Godfather. He will be sadly missed. May God hold you in the palm of his hand until we all meet again. 🪽💜🪽

I remember Bobby as just a great guy. One in a Million.

Ran track and cross country with Bobby, he was a senior and I was a freshman. I was not a very good athlete, but Bobby was very respectful, supportive and always carried a positive outlook.

Sorry for Your Loss Jim and Jon,
