Traci I’m so sorry to hear about your Dad. I have a memory for you about your Dad. In high school you had a bunch of us girls over for a Halloween Party and we were watching one of those Halloween scary movies and your Dad went in the basement or outside no sure which but he started banging on things and scared the living daylights out of us.
I hope that made you smile 😊

To Traci and family, so sorry to read of your father’s passing. He and your mother were some of my favorite people in town. Your dad’s bright smile will be remembered.

John was one of a kind! His smile always warmed my heart. My fondest childhood memories involve the Schultz family and they often treated me as one of their own. Rest in Peace John.

My heart and condolences go to Brian, Traci and the entire extended Schultz family. Though not related by blood and DNA, John and Shirley connected with me in ways that showed me respect while helping to keep me in line from the first days we met. I only hope I managed to return the great respect they deserved.
Like Shirley, John's mortal work here is complete. But his work always will live in our hearts and memories, and in the legacies in their children and grandchildren.
In John, I'm reminded of George Bernard Shaw's words: "This is the true joy in life - that being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one. That being a force of nature, instead of a feverish, selfish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy. I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the whole community and as long as I live it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can. I want to be thoroughly used up when I die. For the harder I work the more I live, I rejoice in life for its own sake. Life is no brief candle to me. It's a sort of splendid torch which I've got to hold up for a moment and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations."
