CHARLES R. "SNUFFY" FRENN, age 78, of Loyal, WI, passed away at the Clark County Rehab & Living Center in Owen, WI, on Wednesday, May 10, 2017. A memorial service will be held at 11am on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Cuddie Funeral Home, in Loyal, WI. Rev. Daniel Zimmerman will officiate and inurnment will follow in the Greenwood City Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Cuddie Funeral Home, on Saturday, from 10am until time of service.
Charles Richard Frenn was born on November 22, 1938 in Ramsey County, MN, the son of Carl and Wilhelmina (Zignego) Frenn. He attended elementary school in Missouri and was raised in Minnesota. After completing his education, Charles was inducted into the U.S. Army and served until his honorable discharge. He attended Ag School in Minnesota and was united in marriage to Diana R. Wysocki on May 12, 1973. They lived on a farm in Mayville, WI and farmed until moving to another farm in Willard, WI, in 2001, to raise pigs.
He had many interests, but especially enjoyed farming, tractor pulling, hunting, fishing, spending time with his grandchildren and helping the Amish community. Charles was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He will be dearly missed by his wife, Diana, of Loyal; 5 daughters: Rose (Ray) Tiechmiller of Waupan, WI, Josephine (Thomas) Wery of Oshkosh, WI, Wilhelmina Frenn of Marshfield, WI, Lavinia Frenn (Robert Youmans) of Loyal, WI, Annaleen (Melvin) Wallace of Lake Jackson, TX; one son: Harold of Oshkosh, WI, his grandchildren: Robert Youmans, Jr., Roman Frenn, Dustin Frenn, Richard Frenn, Urai Frenn, Bonyen "Emily" Frenn, Cheyenne Wallace, Riley Wallace, Austin Wallace, Amelia Wallace, Jerome Kalhamer, Jr., and Robert Meyers; cousin: Robert (Rita) Zignego of Red Wing, MN, and their daughter, "Tiger"; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters: Betty Warriner and Patty Jachem; two granddaughters: Lattie and Quinta Frenn; and one sister: Josephine Hanson.
The family would like to extend their deepest thanks and gratitude to the staffs at Whispering Pines in Neillsville, Clark County Rehab & Living Center in Owen, Ministry Home Care Hospice and to Beverly Laski, for their wonderful care given to Charles during his illness.
