Full Obituary

RUBY M. BUSS, age 82, of Thorp, WI, passed away at Oakbrook Health & Rehab on Thursday, April 13, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, in Thorp. Rev. Daniel Vang will officiate and burial will follow in Sylvan Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Herb Roix, Andy Buss, Larry Buss, Curt DeLeske, Mark Kleifgen, and Marcus Kleifgen. Visitation will be held at Thorp Funeral Home, on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 from 4pm to 8pm, and again on Thursday, at the church, from 10am until time of service.
Ruby Marie Buss was born on November 20, 1934 in the Township of Reseburg, rural Thorp, WI, to Albert and Ida (Gorsegner) Buss. She attended Colby Rural School, in the Town of Reseburg, and graduated from Thorp High School in 1953. Ruby was employed for over 50 years as a receptionist and bookkeeper at the Thorp Courier. After her retirement, Ruby continued to live in Thorp until entering Oakbrook Health & Rehab in December 2014.
She had many interests, but especially enjoyed bowling, fishing, gardening and baking cookies. She was a lifetime member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
Ruby is survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and many great-great nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers: Harold, Elmer and Bernard Buss; and two sisters: Vera Roix and Mildred DeLeske.
