Full Obituary
CHARLES A. FRINACK, age 91, of Thorp joined his beloved wife in the Glory of Heaven on Thursday, October 27, 2016, with the love and support of his family. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the church. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Bernard-St. Hedwig's Catholic Church in Thorp. Fr. Janusz Kowalski will officiate and burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Withee. Pallbearers are his grandchildren: Jason Frinack, Michael Frinack, Craig Frinack, Andrew Rodriguez, Chad Christie, Jacob Sather, and Zachary Frinack.
Charles Arthur Frinack was born on October 14, 1925 to Charles and Maude (Steele) Frinack. Charles served in the United States Army from 1945 - 1947. He was united in marriage to, Helen Koltis, on May 26, 1953, at St. Hedwig's Catholic Church in Thorp. His love and devotion to his wife was true and everlasting. He was a hardworking farmer his entire life who would never give up his hobby – farming. Upon retirement, he continued farming by helping his son, Pat. His passion for hunting, fishing and being outdoors is a treasure that he shared with this children and grandchildren. Hunting and fishing were always more fun with grandpa because his pockets were always full of candy. He was as excited about a first squirrel as he was about a trophy buck. The stories shared and the wisdom that was passed on will remain in our hearts forever. His greatest pastime was being with his family, and he made each and everyone feel special. He always had time to listen to what was important and was so happy with everyone’s accomplishments. His smile and laughter will remain in our hearts forever. He never worried about himself, but always of his family. If they were happy, then he was happy. A visit never ended without seeing his smiling face waving good-bye at the window and anticipating the next visit.
Charles is survived by six children: Pat (Ginny) Frinack of Thorp, Kathy (Mike) Fox of Braman, OK, JoAnn Rodriguez of Fond du Lac, Janice (Scott) Christie of Cadott, Diane (Jeff) Sather of Thorp, and Jeff Frinack of Amery; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and many relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen; his parents; one son-in-law: Daniel Rodriguez; and three sisters: Ethel Alger, Charlotte Goss, and Delores Hay.
Though his wood pile has shrunk, the love and memories that he has given us will always remain in our hearts. And as he always said, he was not getting old, just getting older and we will all be together again. Though we will miss Charles forever, Heaven’s gate opened to a kind and gentle angel who always cared about others first.
