Full Obituary

     NANCY L. DELO, age 86, of Loyal, WI, passed away at the Clark County Rehab & Living Center, in Owen, WI, on Thursday, October 6, 2016.  Funeral services will be held at 11am on Tuesday, October 11 2016 at the Loyal United Methodist Church.  Rev. Patsy Roe will officiate and burial will follow in the Loyal Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Paul Delo, Justin "Bubba" Delo, Michael Delo and Nathan Reading.  Visitation will be held at the church, on Tuesday, from 9am until time of service.
     Nancy Lee Colby was born on July 25, 1930 in the Town of Brighton, rural Unity, WI, the daughter of Henry and Lucy (Mayville) Colby.  She was raised on the family farm and received her education in the Unity, WI area, graduating from Unity High School in 1948.  After completing high school, Nancy held various jobs, including, working at a fishing pole factory in Unity, at a candy store in Milwaukee, and at a grocery store in Unity as a meat wrapper.  She was united in marriage to Merlin C. Delo on January 21, 1956 in Neillsville.  Nancy farmed alongside her husband and raised their family on a farm in the Town of Beaver, rural Loyal, WI.  She resided on the farm until shortly before her death.
     She was a member of the Loyal United Methodist Church and had many interests, but especially loved spending time with her family and grandchildren, playing fast-pitch softball in her younger years where she was a feared pitcher, and bowling.
     Nancy is survived by her children:  Randy of Sarasota, FL,  Clay (Margie) of Spencer, WI,  Audrey (Randy) Reading of Grafton, WI,  Scott (Christina) of Loyal, WI;  8 grandchildren;  14 great-grandchildren;  3 sisters:  Erma Peters of Neenah, WI,  Beverly Kempke of Pound, WI,  Virgene Ladd of South Milwaukee, WI;  several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
     She was preceded in death by her parents;  her husband, Merlin, in 2005;  her children:  Rick Delo in 1995, Cheryl Delo in 2003, Shannon Delo in 2005 and Susan in infancy;  2 grand-daughters:  Jessica Delo in 2003 and Paige Delo in 2012; her daughter-in-law:  Doris Delo in 1995;  2 sisters:  Lottie Lynn and Elenora Colby;  and 4 brothers:  Don, Lowell, Lloyd and Dennis Colby.
