Full Obituary
FRANK A. LINDNER, age 95, of Loyal, passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2016 peacefully at home. Funeral services will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church, in Loyal, on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 10:00am. Rev. Steve Brice will officiate and inurnment will follow in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers will be his sons, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at the church, on Saturday, from 9:00am until time of the service.
Frank Andrew Lindner was born on December 11, 1920 in the Town of Eaton, rural Loyal, to Mathias and Gertrude (Scherer) Lindner. He was raised on the family farm and received his education at St. Mary’s Catholic School in Greenwood. He was united in marriage to Helen M. Kaiser on July 30, 1952 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stratford, WI. They farmed on Owen Avenue, west of Loyal, until retiring in 1989 and moving to Loyal.
He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
Frank loved to spend time with his family, play cards, bowling, fishing and working with his John Deere tractors.
Along with his wife Helen, Frank is survived by his children: Paul (Kathy) Lindner of Rochester, MN, Susan Durst of Mosinee, Gerald (Cindy) Lindner of Lino Lakes, MN, Therese (Jerome) Meyer of Chanhassen, MN, and Robert (Anne) Lindner of Rochester, MN; eleven grandchildren: Darren (Liz) Lindner, Deanna (Derek) Petersen, Anna Durst, Jared, Steven and Kendra Lindner, Jonathon and Tommy Meyer, and Ryann, Morganne and Sarrah Lindner; two great-grandchildren: Jonah and Lily Lindner; three siblings: James Lindner of Loyal, Helen (Richard) Esselman of Loyal, and Loretta Lindner of Greenwood; a sister-in-law: Josie Lindner of Loyal; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents: one son-in-law: John Durst; his siblings and in-laws: Bernard (Bernadine) Lindner, Edward Lindner, Eleanor Lindner, Genevieve (Fred) Budzisz, Arlene Lindner, Joseph, Lawrence and William Lindner.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the family.
