Full Obituary
CYNTHIA J. "CINDY" BRINKER, age 54, of Loyal, passed away at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital, in Marshfield, on Tuesday, September 6, 2016. A Celebration of Life was held at 1pm on Monday, September 5, 2016 at Immanuel United Church of Christ, rural Greenwood, with Pastor Asafa Rajaofera officiating. Burial will take place in Forest Hill Cemetery, rural Greenwood, at a later date. Visitation will be held at the church, on Monday, from 12 noon until time of service.
Cynthia Jean Brinker was born on December 22, 1961 at Tyndall Air Force Base, in Panama City, FL, to James Sr. and Faith "Tudy" (Mork) Brinker. Her family moved to California in 1962, where she was raised until the family moved to Greenwood, WI in 1974. After completing high school, Cindy attended UW-La Crosse and then Chippewa Valley Technical College, where she received a degree in Police Science. She went to work for the Clark County Sheriff's Department for several years before moving to Madison, WI, and then to California. Cindy returned to Loyal, WI in 1997 and worked for Sunburst, later Homme Homes, in Neillsville, as a teaching assistant. She retired in 2005 due to poor health.
Cindy had many interests, but especially loved her cat, Precious, fishing, gardening, flowers, birds, all kinds of games, reading murder mysteries, and fundraising for the homeless and children with cancer.
She will be dearly missed by her friend and companion, Cheri Becker, of Loyal, and her son, Jamie (Ranae) Becker of Edgerton, WI, and their children, Payton and Travis; her mother and step-father: Faith "Tudy" (Gerald) Horn of Loyal; one brother: James Jr. (Ruth) Brinker of Blaine, MN; one sister: Angi Nagel of Tampa, FL; three nieces: Catherine, Maddie and Emma Brinker; two nephews: Nicholas and Silas Nagel; other relatives and many friends.
Cindy was preceded in death by her father, James Brinker, Sr.
