     ELIZABETH L. "BETTY" ABRAHAMSON, age 85, of Loyal, WI, formerly of Sturgeon Bay, WI, peacefully passed away at her home on Wednesday, March 30, 2016, with her devoted and loving family at her side.  With her unwavering faith in God and tremendous will to live she fought a courageous battle with breast cancer and was an inspiration to all.  Our beloved sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother was a remarkable woman.  She taught by example and was a loving, supportive and spiritual women and friend.
   A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, in Loyal, with Fr. Steve Brice officiating.  Visitation will be held at the church, on Saturday, from 9:30 a.m. until time of service.  A committal service and burial will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery Chapel, in Sturgeon Bay, at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 4, 2016.
     Elizabeth Louise Trzebiatowski was born on April 4, 1930 in Amherst, WI, to Bert and Amelia (Brychell) Trzebiatowski, the eldest of six children.  She was raised and received her education near Almond, WI, graduating from Almond High School in 1948.  Betty then attended the Stevens Point Central State College of Teaching where she earned her teaching degree and met the love of her life Charles Abrahamson.  She was united in marriage to Charles on July 30, 1955 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Lanark, WI and enjoyed 53 years of marriage.  Her teaching career spanned over 40 years, starting in a one-room schoolhouse.  Betty spent many years as a 2nd grade teacher at St. Anthony Catholic School in Loyal, WI, then at Granton Public School, where she was a Title One Reading Specialist.
     She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, where she taught CCD for many years, a former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sturgeon Bay, and was a member of the Clark County Homemakers.
     Betty had many hobbies, including, ceramics, painting, reading and quilting, where she earned an award of Master Quilter at a quilting show.
     She will be dearly missed by her 8 children:  John (Karen) Abrahamson of Oxford, MI,  Joe (Deborah) Abrahamson of Seminole, FL,  Anne (Gordon) Rosploch of Plymouth, WI,  Mary (Ralph) Waldhart of Wausau, WI,  Susan (Lenny) Wolf of Granton, WI,  Therese (Craig) Brown of Mosinee, WI,  Lisa (Tim) Baumgartner of Loyal, WI,  Tom (Teresa) Abrahamson of Denmark, WI;  19 grandchildren;  12 great grandchildren;  3 brothers:  Bert (Helen) Trzebiatowski of Plover, WI,  Greg (Matta) Trzebiatowski of Concepcion, Chile, S. America,  George (Diane) Trzebiatowski of Almond, WI;  2 sisters:  Marie (William) Torzewski of Pewaukee, WI,  Margie Thiele of Plover, WI;  many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
     Betty was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Charles, on March 6, 2009.
     She was greatly loved and will be truly missed by all.
     Special thanks from Betty's family go to Dr. Arlene Gayle and the 8th floor nursing staff at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, and the staff at Ministry Home Care Hospice for the unconditional compassion and care that they gave to her.
