Greg was born in Marshfield, WI on May 28, 1955 to Ferdinand and Cecelia (Wilson) Langreck. He grew up and was educated in Greenwood at St. Mary’s Catholic School and graduated from Greenwood High School in 1973. Following graduation, Greg attended Mid-State Technical College in Stevens Point for two years for small engine repair. He also served in the National Guard. After college, he worked at Craft in Marshfield and then took over the family business, Parkway Bar. He was later employed as a supervisor at Liberty Homes in Dorchester for many years. Greg married Charlotte Fortuna and they later divorced. He married Cathy Ludwig and they had two children, Adam and Troy Langreck. They later divorced. On July 19, 2014, he married the love of his life and best friend, Denice Voss, and together they owned and operated the Blue Mirror and Parkway Pines in Greenwood. He was a member of the Holy Name Society and St. Mary’s Parish, Greenwood Chamber of Commerce, and Tavern League of Wisconsin.
Greg had a genuine love for life and enjoyed laughing and spending time with family and friends. He loved his sons deeply and taught them everything he knew about hunting and fishing. Greg was a kind and giving person with a big heart. He would help anyone at any time no matter how busy he was. He had many accomplishments, and devoted much of his life toward making Greenwood a great place to live and visit. This building will serve as a lasting monument of his dedication to those living in and around Greenwood for many years to come. Greg was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan and enjoyed traveling, fishing, hunting, playing cards, and playing softball in his younger years.
