Full Obituary

JANET B. BRASIER, age 74, of Loyal, WI, passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Friday, September 5, 2014 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Loyal. Rev. Steve Brice will officiate and burial will take place in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery at a later date. Pallbearers will be Mason Frost, David LaBarge, Jason Cornell, Trevor Cornell, Taylor Meyer and Mark Engevold. Visitation will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church on Thursday, September 4, 2014 from 4pm to 8pm, with a 7:45pm rosary service, and on Friday, at the church, from 10am until time of service.
Janet Barbara Brecht was born on August 5, 1940 in Milwaukee, WI, to Peter and Velma (Vogel) Brecht, Sr. When she was a young girl, her family moved to Loyal where she attended St. Anthony Catholic School and graduated from Loyal High School in 1959. Janet was united in marriage to Darwin A. Brasier on October 17, 1959 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Loyal. While raising a family, Janet worked for many years at the Roundy's Store, in Loyal. She later worked as a cook at the catholic school, and drove truck, over-the-road, with her husband. Janet retired and resided at home for the past several years, due to her declining health.
Janet attended Sunday mass as often as her health would allow, her faith was very important to her.
She had many interests, but especially loved her dogs, Tobie, Tassie, Teddy, Peppy and Lady. She also enjoyed camping, snowmobiling, riding motorcycle, tending honey bee's and volunteering for the House of the Dove, in Marshfield.
She will be dearly missed by her husband, Darwin, of Loyal; 3 daughters: Kim (Dave) LaBarge of Loyal, Laura Brasier of Marshfield, Dana Frost (fiance Brian Wills) of Wisconsin Rapids; 5 grandchildren: Shannon (Mark) Engevold of Marshfield, Sarah (Jason) Cornell of Bellevue, NE, David (Mindy) LaBarge of Madison, Mason Frost of Marshfield, Morgan Frost of Oshkosh; 7 great grandchildren: Nevada, Elizabeth, Taylor, Izaiha, Avrey, Trevor, Kacie; one sister: Marilyn Redig of Loyal, WI; one brother: Peter Jr. (Karyn) Brecht of Loyal, WI; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Betty Zarnke.
