Full Obituary

BARBARA M. KRULTZ, age 67, of Greenwood, died on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Friday, June 6, 2014 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Willard. Rev. Steve Brice will officiate and burial will follow in Holy Family Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Juan Geracaris, Mark Shain, Matthew Slack, Adam Krultz, Doug Krultz, Joe Petkovsek, Jenn Krultz, Jerome Krempasky and Roger Schwarze. Visitation will be held at the church, on Friday, from 10am until time of service.
Barbara Mary Atkinson was born on May 17, 1947 in Milwaukee, WI, a daughter of the late Esther (Dombrowski) and Carroll Atkinson. She was raised and received her education in West Allis and graduated from Central High School. After completing high school, Barbara went to work for Allis Chalmers in West Allis as a stenographer. It was there that she met M. Edward "Ed" Krultz and they were united in marriage on May 6, 1967 at the Church of St. Gregory the Great in Milwaukee. They moved to Greenwood and farmed. Barbara also worked as an office clerk for Adult Development Services, first in Willard, and later in Greenwood. She later attended technical college in Marshfield, and earned a degree as a medical transcriptionist. She worked out of her home as a transcriptionist until retiring in 2012.
Barbara had many interests, but especially enjoyed gardening, studying and reading about plants, going on crop tour rides with her husband, and genealogy.
She will be dearly missed by her husband, Ed, of Greenwood; two daughters: Debbie Krultz of Green Bay, WI; Gail Whitlock of Sheboygan, WI; one sister: Amy (Bob) Slack of Oak Creek, WI; one brother: Steve (Pauline) Atkinson of Eagle, WI; one brother-in-law: Bob Welch of Racine; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Tom and Chuck Atkinson; and one sister: Peggy Welch.
