Full Obituary

FRANK S. WALTER, age 96, of Chippewa Falls, formerly of Greenwood, WI, passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Comforts of Home Assisted Living in Chippewa Falls. There will be no services held. Burial will take place in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, in Greenwood, at 11am on Saturday, May 31, 2014.
Frank Steven Walter was born in Greenwood, WI on March 10, 1918, a son of the late Mabel (La Tart) and Joseph Walter. He was raised on the family farm and received his education at La Tart Public School and St. Mary's Parochial School in Greenwood. He farmed his entire life with his father on the family farm , in the Town of Beaver, northeast of Greenwood. After retiring, Frank resided in Neillsville and then later moved to Comforts of Home Assisted Living in Chippewa Falls.
He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Neillsville.
Frank is survived by one sister: Virginia M. Nyysti, of Chippewa Falls, WI; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother: Richard Walter; and 2 sisters: Viola Brumbaugh and Dolores Bukosky.
