Full Obituary

Russell John Trunk, 73, died Saturday, January 18th, 2014 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, Wisconsin, from lung cancer complications. Born August 23,1940 in Milaca, MN, Russell lived in Thorp for the past 20 years with his loving wife Bonnie, having been married for 51 years. Russell worked as a plant manager and executive vice president for Green Giant, Pillsbury, and Stokely Foods. He was an active supporter of President Obama's grass roots campaign in 2008 and 2012. He is survived by his wife and four children and eleven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter in 2007.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30am on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at St. Bernard-St. Hedwig's Catholic Church, 111 North Church Street, Thorp WI, 54771. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, from 9:30am until time of service at the church. A reception will held immediately following the funeral mass. The burial will be held in private. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend.
