Full Obituary

RUBY J. WALDHAUSER, age 77, of Loyal, died at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital, in Marshfield, on Wednesday, January 8, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, in Loyal. Fr. Steve Brice will officiate and burial will follow in St. Anthony Cemetery. Her son's will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church, on Saturday, from 9:00am until time of service.
Ruby Jeanette Redig was born on January 30, 1936 in the Town of Sherman, Clark County, WI to Elmer Sr. and Mary (Buss) Redig. She was raised on the family farm and received her education in the Spokeville area. She graduated from Loyal High School in 1954 and then attended UW Eau Claire, where she studied nursing. Ruby was united in marriage on April 22, 1957 to Robert A. Waldhauser at St. Anthony Catholic Church, in Loyal. She and her husband raised their family and farmed in the Town of Loyal. Robert died on October 25, 2008. Ruby resided on the home farm until the time of her death.
She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church.
Ruby had many interests, but especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and family, square dancing in her younger years, crafts, baking, cooking, and gardening.
She will be dearly missed by her children: Mike of Loyal, Jim of Wausau, Dale of Loyal, Laurie (Doug) Winger of Milton, Margie (Ken) Gawenda of Eastman, Cathy Waldhauser of Waukegan, IL, Mary Ann Wilson of Colby, Andy of Loyal, Chuck of Martinsville, IN, Ken (Diane) of Loyal, Paul of Loyal, Carrie (Steve) Troutt of Spencer, Kim Waldhauser of Green Bay, Aaron (Lynn) of Loyal; 20 grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; 19 step great-grandchildren; 9 siblings: Donna Bauer of Spencer, Lorna (Ted) Mueller of Spencer, Elmer Redig, Jr. of Spencer, Darlene (Jody) Laib of Stafford,TX, Joyce (Jerry) Davis of Trinity, TX, Arvin Redig of Riplinger, Sharon Engevold of Spencer, Cheryl Miller of Unity, Alan Redig of Spencer; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Robert; one daughter-in-law: Patricia Waldhauser; and one brother: Orin Redig.
