Full Obituary

GERTRUDE A. BUKOVEC, age 90, of Willard, died at the Clark County Health Care Center, in Owen, on Wednesday, September 11, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at Holy Family Catholic Church, in Willard. Rev. Joseph Follmar will officiate and burial will follow in Holy Family Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church, on Saturday, from 9:30am until time of service.
Gertrude Angela Toplikar was born on December 6, 1922 in Kansas City, KS, the daughter of Charles Paul and Frances Caroline (Marlovich) Toplikar. At the age of 9, she moved with her family to a farm in Olathe, KS. Gertrude was united in marriage to Edward Bukovec on June 6, 1964 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Olathe, KS. Shortly after their marriage, they moved to Willard, WI where they farmed until her husband's death on September 10, 1984. Gertrude remained on the farm until entering the Clark County Health Care Center in April of 2009.
She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and loved her cats and being on the farm.
She is survived by 2 sisters-in-law: Della Toplikar of Olathe, KS; Vicki Krultz of Greenwood; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Gertrude was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward; one sister: Marguerite Marriot; and 6 brothers: Leo, Karl, Eddie, Frank, Ernest and Robert Toplikar.
