KIMALA L. "KIM" KOCHERER, age 62, ot Thorp, WI, passed away at Clark County Rehab & Living Center in Owen, WI on Sunday, August 23, 2026.  A memorial service will be held at 11am on Saturday, September 26, 2026 at Thorp Funeral Home with Chaplain Randy VanDeLoo officiating.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 10am until time of service.

     Kim Luanne Hetchler was born on December 16, 1963 in St. Paul, MN to Lawrence J. and Beverly E. (Romanowicz) Hetchler.  Kim grew up in the Cornell/Holcombe, WI area.  After completing her education, she was employed at various jobs, including; IKE International, Kerry Ingredients and Hutchinson Technologies.   Kim then became a stay-at-home homemaker.  She had many interests, and especially enjoyed being around family.

     Kim will be dearly missed by her husband, Gordy Kocherer of Thorp; her two children: Melissa (Jesse) Emerson and Jon (Samantha) Kocherer, both of Eau Claire; two grandsons: Emery and Ethan; one brother, Jody Hetchler (Connie M. Carson) of Milladore, WI; two sisters: Angela Hetchler of Appleton, WI, and Robin (Keith) Frahm of Stetsonville, WI; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

     She was preceded in death by her parents.

     Kim always knew how to make people feel special and always loved getting phone calls from loved ones.  She had a big heart and never passed up a hug.  She loved a fun day shopping, and a relaxed night watching a good show with her husband.  She said her greatest achievement was giving birth to her children.

     Kim's family would like to thank the staff at Clark County Rehab & Living Center and St. Croix Hospice for their compassionate care given to her.
