Full Obituary

     CAROL J. BOTTLEMY, age 76, of Owen, WI, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2026 at Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield, WI.  A Celebration of Life to honor Carol will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at Longwood Park, rural Withee, WI, from 11:30am to 3pm.  Burial of cremains will follow in the Town of Butler Cemetery, rural Thorp, WI.
     Carol Jean Mayenschein was born on March 21, 1950 in Stanley, WI, to Curtis J. and Laura A. (Butler) Mayenschein.  She was raised on the family farm, received her education in Thorp, graduating from Thorp High School in 1969.  After high school, Carol began working for her brother, Norman, at his grocery store in Greenwood, WI.  She was united in marriage to Douglas Bottlemy on June 14, 1975 in Greenwood, WI.  In 1983, they moved to Shiocton, WI where they worked on a dairy farm until returning to Owen in 1990.  Carol then worked at Northland Foods in Owen, now Kerry Ingredients, for a couple years, before becoming employed at Blue Moon Cheese in Thorp.  She worked at Blue Moon Cheese for 10 years until it closed.  Carol finished out her working career at Grassland Dairy Products, in Greenwood, until retiring.
     Over the years, Carol had many interests, including; mowing lawn, playing softball, camping, fishing, gardening, and canning.  But her number one interest that she was most proud of was her four sons; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Her entire life revolved around being with and supporting her family.
     She will be dearly missed by four sons: Matthew (Corrie) of Withee, Kevin (Jackie) of Withee, Craig (Holly) of Wonder Lake, IL, Jason (Chris) of Willard, WI; six grandchildren: Darryn Bottlemy, Grayce Bottlemy, Dakota (Gerald) Pongratz, Kaylie (Mason) Lofquist, Austin (Faith) Bottlemy and Brennyn Bottlemy; 4 great-grandchildren: Easton, Beau, Kendra, Maverick, and Baby Bottlemy on the way; two brothers: Norman (Rita) Mayenschein of Greenwood, and David Mayenschein of Thorp; one sister, Mary Lynn (Matt) Grajkowski of Thorp; and one brother-in-law, Francis Andruszkiewicz, of Thorp; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
     She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Doug, on March 28, 2025; one brother, Leland Mayenschein; one sister,Marlys Andruszkiewicz; her father and mother-in-law, Warren and Joanne Bottlemy; one brother-in-law, Ronald Bottlemy; and one sister-in-law, Karen Sue Bottlemy.
