Full Obituary RANDAL L. "RANDY" HORN, age 62, of Thorp, WI, passed away in Mercer, WI on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. Funeral services will be held at 12pm on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at Immanuel United Church of Christ in the Town of Warner, rural Greenwood, WI. Rev. Asafa Rajaofera will officiate, and burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Scott Horn, Tara Marten, Melissa Horn, Mason Learman, Charlie Przybylski, Rodger Horst, Mitchell Seehaver and Steve Abramczak. Honorary pallbearers will be his brothers, Frank and Howie Horn. Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from 9am until time of service.
Randal Lee Horn was born on June 18, 1963 in Neillsville, WI, to Glenn M. and Jeanette D. (Humke) Horn. He was raised and received his education in Thorp, graduating from Thorp High School in 1981. After graduation he worked at the Thorp Catholic School as a custodian while also selling firewood. In 1983, Randy began farming with his father in the Town of Worden, rural Thorp. He was united in marriage to Connie L. Buresh on September 22, 2001 at the United Methodist Church in Holcombe, WI. Randy farmed his entire life alongside his wife Connie until selling the farm in 2023 after 40 years of farming. A year earlier, Randy and Connie purchased the TP Inn just east of Thorp, and have operated the Drink Inn until the present time.
Randy had many interests, but especially enjoyed his cows and animals, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, UTV rides, their house in Mercer, WI, cash cropping, family vacations, cutting wood, and bowling in his younger years. His contagious smile and laughter brought joy to those around him and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He will be dearly missed by his wife of 24 years, Connie, of Thorp; his children: Brandon Horn of Chippewa Falls, WI, Brianna Horn of Thorp, Kayla (Dave) Skallet of Osseo, WI, Jamie (Ashley) Hoffstatter of Stanley, WI; three grandchildren: Elizabeth, David and Wyatt; four siblings: Frank (Elaine) Horn of Thorp, Howie (Jess) Horn of Oshkosh, WI, Linda Horn (Jim Brost) of Crandon, WI, Candace (Don) Cook of Mesa, AZ; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Glenn Horn, Jr.; and one nephew, Trevin Horn.
