Full Obituary PATRICIA A. "PAT" YANA, age 92, of Chippewa Falls, WI, formerly of Omro, WI, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2026 at Chippewa Manor Residential Living in Chippewa Falls. Private family services will be held at a later date, and burial will take place in Omro Cemetery.
Patricia Ann Mulder was born on December 9, 1933 in Waupun, WI, the daughter of Everett and Harriet O. (Giese) Mulder. She attended school in Omro from the 4th grade on, and graduated from Omro High School in 1952. Pat worked as a bookkeeper at Northern Propane Gas Company for 24 years. She was united in marriage to Ruben Yana on August 29, 1986, and they faithfully attended St. Mary's Catholic Church. In 2019, Pat and Ruben moved to Marshfield, WI to be closer to her daughter, Cheri, and her family.
Growing up, she worked in her father's greenhouse and inherited the family green thumb. Planting flowers and a vegetable garden each year was a given, and everything was beautiful. Pat loved music, playing cards, and going to the movies. She recalled the days of outdoor drive-in movies and attending dances at the Eagle's ballroom with fondness. Pat also loved spending time with her family and friends. Her family was everything to her and she was so happy to be a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She never forgot a birthday or anniversary, and Christmas was her favorite time of year. She also enjoyed traveling; especially her trip to the Hawaiian Islands.
Pat is survived by her daughter, Cheryl (Robert) Barnett-Lenz of Chippewa Falls, WI; three grandchildren: Scott (Kali) Lenz of New Lisbon, WI, Bryan (Alexandra) Lenz of Glendale, MO, and Jamie Peterlik (Chuck Kenney) of Marshfield, WI; five great-grandchildren: Holden Peterlik, Vander Lenz, Emery Lenz, Charlie Kenney and Cole Kenney; three stepdaughters: Lynn Ruedger of Steger IL, Laurie Massee of Show Low, AZ, and Amy (Gregg) Frank of Kingman, AZ; one sister-in-law, Ginny Mulder of Omro, WI; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her second husband, Ruben Yana, on September 10, 2022; her parents; two step sons-in-law: Lee Massee and Gordon Ruedger; one sister, Marlene Zimmer; two brothers: Kenneth and Ronald Mulder; one brother-in-law, Wayne Zimmer; and one nephew, Mark Zimmer.
