Full Obituary

   Jerry William Bogard, 78, of Thorp, Wisconsin, passed away on April 14, 2026.
   Born on March 20, 1948, Jerry lived a full and meaningful life defined by hard work, devotion to family, and a personality that left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
   Jerry proudly served his country as a Vietnam Veteran in the United States Marine Corps.  Following his military service, he dedicated his working career to driving concrete trucks, earning the respect of those who worked alongside him through his strong work ethic and dependable nature.
   Jerry was a graduate of Badger High School (Lake Geneva) and spent his life enjoying the simple pleasures that brought him joy. He could often be found searching for the best deal at a random garage sale, feeding the birds, traveling the backroads, fishing off the dock, or finding a great barstool to enjoy good company. He loved watching westerns, listening to Elvis, and above all, treasured every moment spent with his grandchildren.
   Jerry will be remembered for his huge heart, his unwavering stubbornness, his funny one-liners and the deep love he had for his family. His presence was larger than life, and his legacy will live on in the stories, laughter, and memories shared by those who loved him.
   Jerry will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 54 years, Fay Bogard (Beuthling); his children, Chad Bogard, Shelly Frankewicz (Jason), and Liz Thoreson (Aric); his grandchildren, Raleigh Frankewicz (Colton Schurter), Courtney Frankewicz (Kevin Henke), Stephen Frankewicz, Elizabeth Frankewicz, Emily Thoreson, Ava Bogard, and Emily Bogard; his step-grandchildren, Maddy Thoreson, Ava Thoreson; his step-great-grandchildren, Easton and Eli Schurter; his siblings Arlene, Karen, Kathy, and Robert. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
   He is preceded in death by his parents Edward and Beatrice Bogard; his four brothers Richard, Thomas(Eddie), Wayne, and Lyle Bogard.
   Jerry’s family would like to extend their gratitude to the Thorp Fire & Ambulance crew, Aspirus Stanley and Medford Hospital staff, and Cuddie Funeral Home for their care and support throughout these, unexpected, final days with him.
