Gloria Mae Garbisch was born on January 3, 1949 in Neillsville, WI, the daughter of Melvin V. and Lovella I. (Gotter) Garbisch.  She was raised on the family farm and received her education in Granton, graduating from Granton High School in 1967.  After high school, Gloria worked in Marshfield before moving to Milwaukee and was employed at Blue Cross United Company doing clerical work until her retirement.  She moved back to Granton and lived with her sister, Betty, and her brother, Wayne.  She lived in Granton until her death.
Gloria was an active member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Ladies Aide, LWML, Bible Study, the church choir, and she helped with the many activities at the church.  She was also active in the Granton Area Senior Citizens, Granton Rotary and Clark County Choraliers.  Gloria loved to travel in her early years, traveling to the Black Hills, Smokey's, Ozarks, Nashville, Hawaii and Germany.  She loved to take pictures of her travels, and kept them in the many photo albums she made of these trips.  She enjoyed sightseeing by car with her siblings to the surrounding communities.  Gloria loved to read and do scrap booking.  In her later years while living in Granton, she loved to walk around the village, stopping to talk with the neighbors or others walking and or working in their yards.  She really loved her frequent trips to Mapleworks Cafe in Granton for meals.
Gloria is survived by two siblings: Betty Mellon and Wayne Garbisch, both of Arpin; first cousins: Carol Jean Wesenberg of Granton, and Bob Tykac of Lake Tomahawk, WI; many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Lois Garbisch.
