Full Obituary

     PATRICIA M. "PAT" KIND, age 86, of Greenwood, WI, passed away at Wells Nature View in Marshfield, WI, on Saturday, November 29, 2025.  A memorial service will be held at 12pm on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Greenwood.  Rev. Elizabeth Bier will officiate, and burial will follow in the Greenwood City Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 10am until time of service.
     Patricia Marie Quelle was born to Roy A. and Mary J. (Jacque) Quelle, Sr. during a monstrous snow storm on March 2, 1939 in Thorp, WI, and her father had to walk to town to get the doctor.  She was raised on a farm west of Longwood, WI, attended Poppe School, and graduated from Withee High School in 1956.  Patricia was united in marriage to Otto J. Kind on September 29, 1956 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Withee, WI.  They farmed for a short time north of Greenwood on the Kind family farm, before moving into Greenwood where they raised their nine children.  They owned and operated the Union 76 gas station in Greenwood for a few years, and Pat also worked as a nurse's aide at Neillsville Memorial Hospital in Neillsville.  She began driving school bus for Branstiter's, which she did for 48 years until retiring.  Pat also served as a E.M.T. on the Greenwood Ambulance for 20 years.
     She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, and was a former Boy Scout Leader.
     Pat had many interests, but especially loved spending time with all of her grand, great grand, and great-great grandchildren.  Her other interests included; ceramics, knitting, camping, fishing, traveling, playing cards, and going to the casino.
     She will be dearly missed by her husband, Otto, of Marshfield; her children: Patty (David) Acker of Loyal, WI, Vern (Sheila) Kind of Neillsville, WI, Tom Kind (Ardis Travis) of Neillsville, WI, Ronald (Pam) Kind of Thorp, WI, Pam (Jim) Delo of Greenwood, WI, Chris (Ron) Briski of Greenwood, WI, Kevin Kind of La Crosse, WI, Keith (Val) Kind of Marathon, WI, and Will Kind (Gloria Diaz) of Spencer, WI; 30 grandchildren; 47 great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; one brother, Roy Quells, Jr. of Rochester, MN, one sister-in-law, Jeanie Paul of Cottage Grove, WI; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
     Pat was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Jesse Acker; and four brothers: Jerry, Alvin, Loren, and Lavern in infancy.
