JAMES A. ISENBERGER, age 69, of Thorp, WI, passed away at Oakbrook Health & Rehab in Thorp, WI on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. Visitation will be held at Thorp Funeral Home on Friday, November 28, 2025 from 10am until 12:45pm, at which time a prayer service will be held with Rev. Kenneth Schmidt officiating. A Celebration of Life for Jim will be held at Cindy's, in Thorp, following the completion of the prayer service.
James Allan Isenberger was born on August 16, 1956 in Stanley, WI to David A. and Carolyn J. "Kaki" (Samuelson) Isenberger. He was raised on the family dairy farm and received his education in Stanley. While in high school, Jim work at "The Filling Station" in Stanley, and enjoyed racing snowmobiles. He graduated from Stanley High School in 1975 and then attended and completed schooling to be a heavy equipment operator. Jim began driving truck in 1975, hauling milk, whey and waste water in and out of Blue Moon Cheese Factory in Thorp for 25 years until its closing. In 2000, he started his own septic hauling business, serving local communities and servicing porta potties at many festivals, including, Tomah truck pull, Warrens Cranberry Festival, and Country Jam. In 2020, Jim sold his septic business, and continued to crop farm at the family farm, which he had done for many years, until his death.
He had many interests, but especially enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming, his Corvette's, watching his grandchildren fish, and shooting trap.
Jim is survived by his wife, Lynn, of Thorp; three daughters: Tracey (Todd) Lindner of Loyal, WI, Kristie (Joel) Peterson of Owen, WI, Kara (Alan) Yeager of Boyd, WI; one son, Samuel Isenberger, of Thorp; five grandchildren: Trey and Teagen Stumpner, Kyle Peterson, and Brantley and Granger Yeager; other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Julie Seidl.
