MARVIN J. MILLER, age 76, of Loyal, WI, passed away on Monday, July 21, 2025 at Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield, WI.  Funeral services will be held at 11am on Monday, July 28, 2025 at the Loyal American Legion in Loyal, WI.  Rev. Kathy Jury will officiate, and burial will follow in the Loyal City Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be: Derek Miller, Brandon Miller, Jeff Kilty, John Bowe, Robert Wehe, and Bob Schultz.  Military rites will be conducted by the Loyal American Legion Post 175.  Visitation will be held at the American Legion on Monday from 9am until time of service.

     Marvin Jerald Miller was born on September 8, 1948 in Marshfield, WI, to Edward W. and Ina M. (Baehr) Miller.  He was raised and received his education in Loyal, graduating from Loyal High School in 1966.  While in high school, Marvin worked at Pleasant View Dairy north of Loyal, which his parent's owned, hauling canned milk.  He attended Western Technical College in La Crosse, WI studying mechanics.  Marvin enlisted into the U.S. Army on February 13, 1968 and served during the Vietnam War until his honorable discharge on September 17, 1969.  He returned home and continued to work at Pleasant View Dairy, eventually purchasing the business with his brother Allen, in 1989.  Marvin was united in marriage to Arlene M. Mechelke on April 15, 1972 at the Loyal United Methodist Church.  They had a dairy and pig farm north of Loyal where they raised their 3 sons, Corey, Luke and Shawn.  After Pleasant View Dairy was destroyed in a fire in 1991, Marvin continued to haul milk on his own for Mullin's until retiring in 2015 after 50 years of hauling.

     He was a member of the Loyal American Legion.

     Marvin had many interests, but especially loved fishing, bowling, watching local high school and college football and basketball games, baiting bear, and riding in the Ranger with his grandchildren.

     He is survived by his two sons: Corey (Nicole) and Shawn (Macy), both of Loyal; two grandchildren: Paul and Scarlett Miller; one sister, Janice (Bob) Boehning of Marshfield; three brothers: Allen (Jan) Miller of Spencer, Leland (Debbie) Miller of Spencer, Wayne (Linda) Miller of Loyal; one sister-in-law, Bonnie (Jerome) Becker, of Marshfield; two brothers-in-law: Jack (Barbara) Mechelke and James Mechelke, both of Loyal; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

     Marvin was preceded in death by his son, Luke, on July 6, 1994; his wife, Arlene, on November 18, 2024; his parents, Edward and Ina Miller; and his father and mother-in-law, Warren "Duke" and Violet Mechelke.
