ARLEN L. HENDERSON, age 73, of Marshfield, WI, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, March 10, 2025. A Celebration of Life for Arlen will be held at 4:30pm on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall in Marshfield.
Arlen Lyle Henderson was born on March 24, 1951 in Winona, MN, the son of Lyle A. and Charlotte R. (McNally) Henderson. He was raised on the family farm, and received his education in the Winona area, graduating from Winona Senior High School in 1969. After high school, Arlen attended college before enlisting into the U.S. Army on August 31, 1970, and he served until his honorable discharge on April 11, 1973. He returned to Winona and went to work for Minnesota Farm Builders. He was united in marriage to Vicki L. Blom on August 21, 1976 at a park in Homer, MN. They resided in Winona, and Arlen continued to work for Minnesota Farm Builders until 1980, when he began working at K-Mart on the receiving dock. In 1989, they moved to Marshfield, WI where he worked for Marawood Construction for 2 years, and then at Cedar Rail Court & Parkview Apartments, remodeling apartments and building small houses, until retiring in September 2008.
He was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and enjoyed sharing his faith with others. Arlen also loved to make people laugh and he was always happy.
He had many interests, but especially loved hunting, enjoyed rustic camping, construction work, and tinkering with just about anything. He will be missed by his family and friends.
Arlen will be dearly missed by his wife, Vicki, of Marshfield; his children: Jana (Patrick) Wolfe of Auburndale, and Ryan (Heather) Henderson of La Crosse, WI; four siblings: Arlene (Joe) Lynch of Winona, MN, Judith (Maurice) Ploetz of St. Charles, MN, Patricia Davis of Winona, MN, and Kevin (Kris) Henderson of Waterford, WI; one sister-in-law, Jean Henderson, of Winona, MN; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Wayne Henderson.
