Full Obituary

     JULIANN F. "JULIE" ZETTLER, age 84, of Loyal, WI, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 10, 2024 surrounded by her family.  Funeral services will be held at 10:30am on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Loyal.  Rev. Emmanuel Famiyeh will officiate, and burial will follow in the parish cemetery.  Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons: David Zettler, Vaughn Zettler, Joseph Fischer and Eli Zettler.  Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 9am until time of service.
     Juliann Florence Davel was born on May 21, 1940 in Marshfield, WI to Lawrence A. and Nettie S. (Shupe) Davel.  She was raised and received her education in Loyal, graduating from Loyal High School in 1958.  After high school, Julie went to work at Three Sisters Department Store in Marshfield, and later transferred to their store in Appleton, WI.  She was united in marriage to Gerald F. Zettler on September 12, 1959 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Loyal.  They resided in Loyal where she raised their six children.  Later on in life, Julie worked outside the home at the TRG, then at Loyal IGA, and finally for Sniteman's Pharmacy.
     She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and its PCCW, and the "Womens Club."
     Julie had many interests, but especially enjoyed ceramics, sewing, arts & crafts, scrapbooking, and painting.
     She will be dearly missed by her husband, Gerald, of Loyal, her sister-in-law Judy Zettler, of Loyal; six children: Robert (Marilyn) Zettler of Onalaska, Thomas (Judi) Zettler of Loyal, Timothy Zettler of Loyal, Jeanne (Wayne) Hietpas of Appleton, Sharon (Keith) Fischer of Kaukauna, and Kenneth (Emy) Zettler of Loyal; nine grandchildren: Lynzi (Brandon) Warner, David (Kirsten) Zettler, Emily (Mitchell) Pohlman, Amanda Zettler, Madison (Skylar) Ruggles, Vaughn Zettler, Sophia Fischer, Joseph Fischer and Eli Zettler; three step grandchildren: Trevor (Liz) Hietpas, Caleb (Hailey) Hietpas, and Rachel Hietpas (Jordan Kangas); four great-grandchildren: Nolan and Emma Warner, Violet and Eloise Zettler, and one on the way; two step great-grandchildren: Grace and Eleanore Hietpas, and one on the way; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
     Julie was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers: Ronald and James Davel.
