Daniel Zimmerman will officiate, and burial will follow in the Lutheran Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday, from 12pm until time of service.
Milton John Fitzl was born on May 16, 1940 in Donald, WI, the son of John L. and Margaret N. (Johnson) Fitzl.  As a young boy, his family lived a short time in Illinois, but settled on a farm southwest of Greenwood, WI in 1946.  After completing his education, Mitt was united in marriage to Fern A. Korntved on March 21, 1964 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Greenwood.  He drove truck all of his life, first hauling milk for Glen Zimmer in Greenwood, and then drove truck for O-W Trindal in Loyal.  Mitt then bought his own truck and hauled grain and cattle until his retirement.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal.
Mitt had many interests, but especially enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and being with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Fern, of Loyal; his children: Milt Jr. (Jill) of New Ulm, MN, Pete of Loyal, Rhonda (Ryan) Reddy of Spencer, and Tanya (Ryan) Pagenkopf of Loyal; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two brothers: Dennis (Joyce) Fitzl of Willard, and Dick Fitzl of Loyal; one sister: Beverly (Ed) Lloyd of Pray, WI; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mitt was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters: Marjorie O'Dell and Donna Hammond; and two brothers: Jimmy and Billy, both in infancy.
The family would like to thank the Loyal Ambulance, and the Marshfield Medical Center E.R. and Palliative Care Unit for their compassion and care given to Mitt and his family.
