Full Obituary

      WALTER A. "WHISPERING WALTER" MRAVIK, age 82, of Thorp, WI, passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023 at Aspirus Stanley Hospital, in Stanley, WI.  Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Friday, November 24, 2023 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Lublin, WI.  Burial will take place in St. Stanislaus Cemetery followed by a luncheon in the church basement.
     Walter Anton Mravik was born on August 10, 1941 in Chippewa Falls, WI, the son of William and Dorothy K. (Markowski) Mravik.  He was raised on the family farm in Lublin, and received his education in the Lublin/Gilman area.  After completing his education, Walter took over the family farm, and was a farmer and logger until his retirement.  He then moved to Morgan Plaza, in Thorp, where he resided until the time of his death.
     He had many interests, but especially enjoyed 4-wheeling.
     Walter is survived by one sister: Betty Turner of Kenosha; his sister-in-law: Rita Mravik of Medford; three nieces and two nephews, other relatives and friends.
     He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Joseph Mravik; and a sister in infancy.
