Full Obituary

     FRANCIS J. "FRANK" CHODERA, age 76, of Owen, WI, formerly of Thorp, WI, passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2023 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau, WI.  A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Thorp Funeral Home, in Thorp, from 10am until noon.  Burial will follow in New St. Hedwig Catholic Cemetery.
     Frances Joseph Chodera was born on March 18, 1947, the son of Thomas J. and Rose (Baran) Chodera.  He was raised on the family farm in the Town of Thorp, and received his education at area schools, graduating from Thorp High School in 1965.  After completing his education, Frank took over the family farm and also worked at Pabich's Grocery Store, and tended bar at the Cardinal Bowl in Thorp.  After leaving the farm, he provided transportation to the Mennonite community in the Thorp area for many years.
     He had many interests, but especially enjoyed going to auctions and garage sales, and conversing at the Thorpedo and Dairy Bar restaurants in Thorp.
     Frank is survived by his 3 children: Jason (Carey) Chodera of Eau Claire, Jennifer (Mike) Angeloff of Chippewa Falls, and Thomas (Andrea) Chodera of Madison; 11 grandchildren, and one great-grandson.
     He was preceded in death by his parents.
