Full Obituary
JOHN F. TUNNOCK, age 62, of Greenwood, WI, formerly of Florida, passed away at his home on Friday, June 30, 2023 with his family and friends at his side. Per John's request, no services will be held.
John Franklin Tunnock was born on January 30, 1961 in Fort Myers, FL to Matthew J. and Edna M. (Springer) Tunnock. He was raised and received his education in Florida. After graduating from high school in 1979, John had two passions in life. He wanted to serve in the U.S. Navy and drive tractor trailer over the road. He did both of them. John served twelve years in the Navy, where he was on the U.S.S. John F. Kennedy, U.S.S Yosemite and the U.S.S. Mahan. After the Navy, he drove semi-truck for 25 years until an being involved in a semi-truck accident. He became a transporter after the accident, and hauled campers and trailers.
John had many interests, but especially liked motorcycles, boats, and big toys. He made many friends on his journey through life in the Navy and driving semi.
He is survived by one sister: Bobbie Ann Seward, and one brother: Jim (Gail) Tunnock, both of Florida; his fiancée of eight years: Darlene Johnson of Greenwood; nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Close to him were Dave Pichelman, Nikoli Pichelman, Amber Schoepflin, Arron Tyndall, Samanta Battisti, Mike Jr. (Chris) Johnson, Shannon May, Jaidyn Bradley, Sophia Pichelman, and Ryleigh Pichelman. They were all a part of his extended family. John also had many Shipmates and Trucker friends. He will be missed by all.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
