BRYAN K. FALKENBERG, age 57, of Thorp, WI, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Sunday, April 23, 2023.  A Celebration of Bryan's Life will be held at a later date.
Bryan Keith Falkenberg was born on August 24, 1965 in St. Paul, MN, the son of Ernest and Ruth (Froehlich) Falkenberg.  He graduated from Onalaska High School in 1983.  After high school, Bryan worked full-time for Gateway Foods and spent the majority of his free-time developing a passion for automotive work.  On June 4, 1988, he married Betty Jo Abramowicz. Over the next several years, they resided in Sparta, WI and had two children.  In 1997 they packed up their family and moved to Thorp, WI to chase Bryan’s dream of starting a transmission business.
Bryan built a successful business that he operated for over 20 years, and became known as the local transmission physician.  He took a tremendous amount of pride in his work, and always went the extra mile to ensure his customers were well taken care of.  Bryan lived and breathed all things automotive.  When he wasn’t fixing vehicles for his customers, he was spending countless hours working on his own muscle cars, participating in car shows, and watching plenty of racing. Over the years he fully restored and customized a number of classic cars for himself, family members, and close friends.
Bryan enjoyed taking road trips, camping, and spending time with family and close friends.  He also spent the last several years of his life designing, and building a beautiful cabin, much of which was built with his own two hands.
Bryan is survived by his wife, Betty Jo, of Thorp; two children: Brandon Falkenberg (Melinda Noah) of New Richmond, and Brooke (Greg) Williams of Chippewa Falls; two grandchildren: Desmond and Holden Williams; his father: Ernest Falkenberg of Independence; two sisters: Toni Zimmerman (Kevin Dobbs) of La Crosse, and Carmyn (Steve) Sime of Boyd; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Bryan was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Falkenberg.
