GORDON A. DIETZLER, age 82, of Gilman, WI, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family.  Per Gordon's wishes, no services will be held.
Gordon Arthur Dietzler was born on December 28, 1940 in Jump River, WI, the son of Frank E. and Belva (Smith) Dietzler.  He was raised on the family farm and received his education in Gilman area schools, graduating from Gilman High School in 1958. He  enlisted into the U.S. Navy and served from 1958 until his honorable discharge in 1961.  Gordon returned to Gilman and farmed with his parents until being united in marriage to Mary Ann Kowal on May 28, 1966, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Lublin, WI.  They farmed in Gilman until moving to Elk Grove Village, IL in 1987, where he worked as a mechanical engineer in the heat treating industry. After retiring in 2007, he moved back to Gilman to enjoy the great outdoors and the house he built with his wife Mary Ann.
He had many interests, but especially loved ice fishing, hunting, playing chess, and watching the birds and animals. He was also very proud of his family and enjoyed spending time with them.
Gordon is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Dietzler, of Gilman; three children: Michael Dietzler, Kelly Dietzler, Tanya (Adam) Szatkowski; four grandchildren: Gabe and Kya Dietzler, and Hunter and Maison Szatkowski.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his stepfather: Lindy Hierlmeier.
