Full Obituary

 
     BARBARA A. RYCERZ, age 75, of Thorp, WI, passed away at her home on Saturday, July 23, 2022.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Thorp Funeral Home from 10am until 12pm.  Burial will follow in New St. Hedwig Catholic Cemetery, in Thorp, with Rev. Leo Johnson officiating.
     Barbara Ann Rycerz was born on August 27, 1946 in Stanley, WI, the daughter of Adolph J. and Irene E. (Wincek) Rycerz.  She was raised and received her education in Thorp, graduating from Thorp High School in 1966.  Barbara worked various jobs, including, cooking at the Thorpedo Restaurant, Figi's in Marshfield, and did home care when she resided in Spencer.  She moved to Thorp, where she lived until her death.
     She had many interests, but especially loved pets and animals, playing Bingo and Polka music.
     Barbara is survived by nine siblings: Bob (Barb) of Hartford, Al "Gomer" (Julie Burkhardt) of Thorp, John (Debbie) of Wild Rose, Kathy Rycerz of Thorp, Ron (Sharon King) of Chippewa Falls, David of Thorp, Bill of Thorp, Mary Oberle of Plymouth, and Eugene of Thorp; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
     She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Roger.
