     JOHN J. KWAK, age 83, of Arbor Vitae, WI, passed away on Monday, July 18, 2022 at Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield, WI.  A graveside service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery in Loyal, WI, with Rev. Emmanuel Famiyeh officiating.
     John Joseph Kwak was born on February 9, 1939 in Chicago, IL, to John T. and Charlotte (Walgurski) Kwak.  He was raised and received his education in Chicago, graduating from Schurz High School in 1958.  John was united in marriage to Jean M. Bonkowski on November 24, 1958 at St. Viator Catholic Church in Chicago.  They resided in Fox Lake, IL where he worked for Allstate Insurance Company as a property claims manager.  They later moved to Lake Villa, IL, and resided there until he retired from Allstate after being employed there for more than 30 years.  In July of 2000, they sold their home in Lake Villa and moved to Arbor Vitae to enjoy their retirement.
     He had many interests, but especially loved spending time with his family and friends, old cars and going to car shows, collecting trains, snowmobiling and fishing.  John was a former member of the  Fox Lake/Antioch Moose Lodge #525, and a member of the Corvette Club.
     John will be dearly missed by his wife, Jean, of Arbor Vitae; one daughter: Jean "Angel" (John) McPherson of Loyal, WI; one son: John T. Kwak of Marshall, WI; three grandchildren: Jackie (Colton) Marten of Loyal, Jason McPherson (Mikaela Nicholson) of Spencer, WI, Jessica McPherson of Loyal; four great-grandchildren: Joshua Bredl, Gage Daniels, Emmett McPherson, Isabella Marten; one brother: Walter (Dayna) Kwak of Lake Villa, IL; two sisters: Charlotte Hemmer of Chicago, Jeannine Kwak of Missouri; one sister-in-law: Jean Kwak of Lake Villa, IL; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
     He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ronald Kwak.
