JOSEPH J. LANG, age 60, of Withee, WI, passed away at home on Wednesday, March 2, 2022.  A memorial service will be held at 10:30am on Friday, April 8, 2022 at St. Bernard-St. Hedwig Catholic Church in Thorp.  Rev. Baskaran Sandhiyagu will officiate, and burial will follow in New St. Hedwig Catholic Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the church, on Friday, from 9:30am until time of service.

     Joseph Jay Lang was born on February 26, 1962 in Chicago, IL, the son of Joseph M. and Shirley F. (Vetterkind) Lang.  He was raised and received his education in Des Plaines, IL, graduating from Maine West High School in 1980.  After completing his education, Joe went to work for TLC Controls in Mt. Prospect, IL, where he was employed as a manager.  In 1997, he moved to Withee and worked for Weather Shield Doors & Windows in Medford, WI for a few years.

     He had many interests, but especially loved working on cars, driving in demo derby's, and being with his family.

     Joe will be dearly missed by his mother: Shirley Lang of Thorp; three sisters: Cynthia Lang of Thorp, Diane (John) Bernick of Des Plaines, IL, Pamela (Roger) Mertens of Thorp; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends and his faithful companion: Bella.

     He was preceded in death by his father.
