Full Obituary

     EDDIE L. SMITH, JR., age 77, of Loyal, WI, passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, WI.  Funeral services will be held at 10am on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at the Owen Mennonite Church in Owen, WI.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 from 2pm-4pm and from 6pm-8pm.
     Eddie Lee Smith, Jr. was born on January 16, 1944 in Salem, OH, to Eddie Lee Sr. and Marguerite (Crook) Smith.
     He is survived by his beloved wife, Irene (Steiner) Smith, whom he married on June 22, 1968; loved and missed by 6 sons and 2 daughters: Conrad (Esther) of Loyal, WI, Mark (Tammy) of Cheyenne, WY, Joanne (Philip) Scearce of Thorp, WI, Brian (Emalene) of Craig, CO, Wesley (Katrina) of Boyceville, WI, Wilbur (Lori) of Rozet, WY, Leon (Carolyn) of Sheldon, WI, and Jeanette Smith of Loyal, WI; 50 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters: Maxine (Richard) Bartholomew of North Lima, OH, Karen Pace of Delta, UT; and numerous nieces and nephews who were special.
     He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers: Ronnie, George, and Gene Smith; one sister: Judy Forester.
     Eddie was a faithful member of Owen Mennonite Church until his death.
