LORETTA M. ZAKRZEWICZ, age 96, of Thorp, passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Oakbrook Health & Rehab in Thorp.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00am at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Lublin on Monday, December 7, 2020.  Rev. Vijay Kumar Madani will officiate and burial will follow in the parish cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Monday, at the church, from 10:00am until time of service.

   Loretta Marie Zakrzewicz was born on December 11,1923 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Frank A. and Anna L. (Levandowski) Zakrzewicz. As a young child, Loretta's family moved to a farm in the Town of Roosevelt, where she was raised and educated.  After completing her education at Riverview School, Loretta enlisted in the Army Air Force, where she worked as a control tower operator during World War II.  Upon her honorable discharge from the military, Loretta went to work for Eastern Airlines for a couple of years.  She later worked for Northwest Airlines as a Flight Reservation Clerk for over 30 years until her retirement in 1986.  After retirement, Loretta moved back to Wisconsin to be closer to her family and friends.

   She was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Lublin and was a life member of the American Veterans Organization.   

   Loretta is survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

   She was preceded in death by her parents; 1 sister: Rita Marcantonio; 3 brothers: Eugene, Robert, and Raymond in infancy; 1 sister-in-law: Dorothy Zakrzewicz, and 1 nephew: Kenneth Zakrzewicz. 

   In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.
