Full Obituary

     EUGENE B. PROKOPINSKI, age 88, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2020 at his home in Garden City, KS.  Private family services will be held at Thorp Funeral Home, in Thorp, WI, on Saturday, October 24, 2020.  Burial will follow in New St. Hedwig’s Catholic Cemetery in Thorp.
     Eugene Benjamin Prokopinski was born on May 20, 1932 in Withee, WI, to Felix and Ann (Paczkowski) Prokopinski in Withee, WI.  Eugene served in the Army during the Korean War.  After his honorable discharge, he went back home to Thorp, where he lived until moving to Garden City, Kansas in 1985, working at the Tyson plant as a Beef Packer.
     Eugene is survived by his 2 sons: Harvey of Bloomer, WI and David (Jen) Chippewa Falls, WI; one daughter: Diane (Rick) Derks Bloomer, WI; and 4 grandchildren.
     He was preceded in death by his parents, and 2 brothers: Leonard and Edward Prokopinski.
