Full Obituary
MARVIN C. SCHUTTE, age 84, of Withee, WI, peacefully passed away at his home on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at New Harvest Assembly of God Church in Withee, WI. Pastor Faith Bosmans will offiiate, and burial will follow in Holy Family Catholic Cemetery in Willard, WI. Pallbearers will be: Adam Schutte, Justin Schutte, Brayden Christensen, Bill Buettner, Clifford Stenulson, Darryl Schutte and Rick Kramber. Visitation will be held at the church, on Thursday, from 9am until time of service.
Marvin Carl Schutte was born on January 14, 1936 in Neillsville, WI, the son of Alvin C. and Ethel M. (Durst) Schutte. He was raised on the family farm and received his education in the Neillsville area. After completing school, Marvin continue to work on the farm with his father. He was united in marriage to Marie T. Collier on June 6, 1956 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greenwood, WI. Marvin worked at Short's Fur Farm in Neillsville before moving to Algonquin, IL and working on a farm as a herdsman. They resided in Illinois until moving to Baldwin, WI in 1972. Marvin spent most of his life dairy farming, but he also was a salesman for Mason Shoes, DeKalb Seed, and worked for American Breeding Service. After retiring, he moved to Withee, where he resided until his death.
He was a member of New Harvest Assembly of God Church.
Marvin had many interests, but especially loved having his family around him, farming, gardening, tractors, hunting, camping, 4-wheeling, going to thrashings, auctions, garage sales, and the Minnesota State Fair. He was also a big fan of the Green Bay Packers, the Chicago Cubs and Bears.
He will be dearly missed by his wife, Marie, of Withee; 4 children: Therese Schutte of Fridley, MN, Patrick (Wendy) of Brooklyn Park, MN, Norman (fiancé Denise Larson) of New Richmond, Steve (Sheri) of Menomonie; 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers: Don (Evelyn) of Neillsville, Darryl (Nancy) of Beloit; 2 sisters: Joanne St. John of Wisconsin Rapids, Diane Buettner of Neillsville; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents; one son, John, on August 23, 2016; and one sister, Janice Stenulson.
