Full Obituary

HAZEL M. SEEMAN, age 106, of Marshfield, went home to be with the Lord at the Golden Living Center – Three Oaks, in Marshfield, on Saturday, August 24, 2019.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30am on Friday, August 30, 2019 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Spencer, WI. Rev. Rebekah Tarras will officiate and burial will follow at the Loyal City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jason Dux, Randy Domine, David, Allen, Mike and Duane Strey. Visitation will be held at the church, on Friday, from 9:30am until the time of service.
Hazel Minnie Strey was born July 11, 1913 in the town of Granton, WI to Robert and Anna (Thomas) Strey. She was raised on the family farm in the town of York and attended Romadka School through 8th grade. She was united in marriage to Marvin W. Seeman on September 24, 1950 in Mason, Iowa. They moved to Spring Valley, WI, where they owned and operated Cady Cheese Factory. Throughout the years, they owned and operated a cheese house at St.Croix Falls, WI, and the Hatchville Cheese Factory in Hatchville, WI. They lived in Merrill prior to their move to Unity in 1980. In 2007, they moved to Marshfield where Hazel resided until her death.  
Hazel was a good wife who loved being with her husband, Marvin, and also loved the Lord. They enjoyed attending church, watching Christian TV programs, and reading the Bible, along with listening to Christian music and praying with and for everyone. Many years they visited nursing homes and prayed for the sick and elderly. She loved reading the Bible and a favorite chapter was Psalm 91. A couple of her favorite verses were: Psalm 57:11 Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: let thy glory be above all the earth and also Psalm 73:26 My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion forever.
Hazel loved the Lord and her goal in life was to see all of her loved ones and friends saved and healed. Her dying wish was for people to come to know the Lord and the joy of knowing Him as their personal Lord and Savior as she did. Hazel is so looking forward to seeing her husband, Marvin, and the rest of her family when she gets to heaven.
Hazel also enjoyed visiting with her family and friends and giggling together often when reminiscing about the innocent mischief they got into when growing up. She will be missed by her niece, Barbara Dux, her sisters, LaVerne Morin and Norma Potter, her brothers, Ceylon and Robert, and many nieces and nephews. Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin, her parents, her sisters, Elsie Fricke and Helen Domine (her twin) and her brothers Ernie, Eralen, Raymond and Victor.
