She was raised on the family farm and received her education in the Colby area, graduating from Colby High School in 1951. Hermina was united in marriage to Stanley E. They then bought a hobby farm in the Town of Taft, Clark County, where they lived until moving to The Homeplace, in Stanley, in 2010.
She was a member of St. Bernard-St. Hedwig's Catholic Church, and a former member of St. Mary of Czestochowa Catholic Church, in Junction, where she was very active and always worked the 4th of July picnic. Hermina also served on the Town of Taft Election Board for many years.
Her many interests were gardening, playing cards, especially UNO with her grandchildren, Polka music, fishing, and was a Damn Good Cook!
Hermina will be dearly missed by her children: Robert (Ann) of Thorp, Stanley "Stash" (Jody) of Thorp, Richard (Kathy) of Owen, Janet (Morey) Schirmacher of Chippewa Falls, David (Linda) of Thorp, Marlene (Earl) Konechney of Eau Claire; 14 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and one on the way; one great-great granddaughter; other relatives and friends.
