Full Obituary
DARLENE D. CAMMERS, age 81, of Marshfield, formerly of Loyal, passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at the Marshfield Medical Center, in Marshfield. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Loyal. Rev. Steve Brice will officiate and burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Tom Lyon, John Hiller, Allen Moen, Mark Adler, Jeff Cammers and Stephen Linzmeier. Visitation will be held at the church, on Friday, April 6, 2018 from 4pm to 8pm, and again on Saturday, from 10am until time of service.
Darlene Dorothy Moen was born on June 9, 1936 in Marshfield, WI, to Magnus and Ruth (George) Moen. She was raised and received her education in the Marshfield area, graduating in 1954 with the first graduating class at Columbus High School, in Marshfield. After graduation, Darlene worked at Weinbrenner Shoes and at Weyerhaeuser in Marshfield. She was united in marriage to Earl J. Cammers on October 12, 1957 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Bakerville, WI. They raised their family in Loyal, where she worked various jobs, including, the Rootbeer Stand, Fulwiler's grocery store, Dahl's Ford, and doing childcare.
She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and its PCCW, and loved listening to Polka music and attending Polka festivals.
Darlene is survived by her 2 sons: Pat (Missy) Cammers of New Richmond, WI, Bruce (Holly) Cammers of Apex, NC; 2 grandchildren: Heather (Mark) Adler of Marshfield, Jeff Cammers of Altoona, WI; 4 great-grandchildren: Abby, Lily, Neil and Dax Adler; 5 step grandchildren: Eron Kuhlers of Raleigh, NC, Miranda (Michael) Swenson of Holly Springs, NC, Desiree Gibson and Tyler Radlinger, both of New Richmond, WI, and Mikayla (Nate) Rudi of Somerset; 2 step great-grandchildren: Ezio Radlinger, Jadyn Gibson; 6 siblings: Ruth Ann Lyon of Marshfield, Allen (Ellen) Moen of Marshfield, Mary (David) Gaetz of Riplinger, Janece Olson of Marshfield, Linda (Stephen) Linzmeier of Marshfield, Beth (John) Hiller of Marshfield; 2 sisters-in-law: Delores Moen of Sauk City, Marian Moen of Charleston, SC; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl, on April 22, 2015; 7 brothers: Donald, Kenneth, Robert, Phillip, James, Michael and Steven Moen; one sister-in-law: Carol Moen; and 2 brothers-in-law: Gerald Lyon and Randoph Olson.
