Full Obituary

     AMY M. OLSON, age 88, of Greenwood, passed away at Mission Creek, in Waukesha, WI, on Thursday, December 21, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 10am on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, in Greenwood. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Kevin Olson, Adam Olson, Craig Johnson, Erik Gardner, Joe Gardner and Paul McMillan. Visitation will be held at the church, on Wednesday, from 9am until time of service.
     Amy Marie Ehlers was born on October 1, 1929 in Greenwood, WI, the daughter of Alvin Sr. and Mary (Morgal) Ehlers. She was raised on the family farm, attended Eaton School, and graduated from Greenwood High School in 1947. After graduation, Amy moved to Oconomowoc and worked at the Oconomowoc shoe factory. She was united in marriage to Stanley L. Olson on December 1, 1950 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Waukesha, WI. They lived and raised their family in Waukesha until 1984, when they retired and returned to Greenwood. Amy resided in Greenwood until her husband's death on November 6, 2016. She then moved back to Waukesha to be near family.
     She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Greenwood American Legion Auxiliary, and were supporters of the High Ground Memorial Park in Neillsville.
     Amy had many interests, but especially loved cooking, baking, dancing, listening to music, and fishing.
She is survived by four children: Teresa (Allen) Johnson of Greenwood, Ron (Mary) Olson of Waukesha, Karen (John) Gardner of Waukesha, Margaret (Mike) Schroeder of Breckenridge, CO; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; two brothers: Alvin Ehlers, Jr. of Neillsville, Bill (Linda) Ehlers of Greenwood; one aunt: Amy Morgal of Neillsville; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
     She was preceded in death by her parents, and her loving husband, Stanley.
     In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be directed to the Greenwood American Legion Post #238, P.O. Box 176, Greenwood, WI 54437.
