Pam and Tammy,
My deepest sympathy in the passing of your mother into eternity. Your Mom always had a smile and I would see her when I was out and about.
You had good parents and if you follow their example all will go well. I will miss your Mom. Pam, remember babysitting my boys? Ages 43 and 40 with 6 grandchildren. May God Bless you and your families. Barb

I was sadden to hear of Avis' passing. Knew she was ill but one always hopes for the better outcome. I'm one of those snow birds who thoroughly ejnoyed the time Avis and I spent together. Out for meals and playing cards. She taught me how to play "Hand & Foot". And everytime we played I lost big time. I can see her sitting there smiling (laughing) and wishing me better luck next time. I always looked forward to sharing out time at Orange Beach with her. My life will be grayer knowing she won't be on the computer or in Orange Beach. My sympathy to you all. She was so proud of her girls ! Think I'm running out of room. You are in my prayers. Avis will keep watch over you from her place in heaven. With sympathy, Shirley Gaudreau

I saw Pam on Wednesday night, I couldn't stop crying either. Pam, you were a wonderful kid to grow up with. In your back yard and in your home.
Tell your sister I'm sorry I didn't get to say hi. If she's anything like you, she's a great person.

Deepest sympathy to Pam, Tammy and all the family.
I am going to miss Avis's Christmas letters each year. It was a good way to keep in touch and keep up on the family. Some of my best memories are of working at the store each summer. Avis was always so kind and a good person to work for. I learned alot there and enjoyed the varied things a person got to do while working there...stocking shelves, candling eggs, pumping gas, etc. Tammy---I remember how you liked to lick the dirt off the potatoes. Your parents were worried enough to take you to the doctor. Pam, I remember you saying that you couldn't wait for social security (like your Grandma got) so you wouldn't have to work. Lucille always made us a nice lunch....first time I ever had salmon loaf and Pam, I still use your banana bread recipe in your handwriting. It was a good time, made better by your Mom and Dad. I am sorry to say that I will not be able to attend the funeral but know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Pam and Tammy,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and with your families. I will especially be lifting all of you up in my prayers on Wednesday. I wish so much that I could be there with all of you. I can only imagine the ache in your hearts. Your mom was truly a very special lady. I have such fond memories of time spent with your mom and mine when I would come to Rock Dam.... dancing at the Druzba's, pie in the park, Ernie's, getting fried curds, etc...and coming to your parent's store when we were younger :). I pray that you will find comfort in all of the wonderful memories you have of the special times you've spend with your mom. Now she's with your dad and I know that they are both watching over you and your families. Lots of love to you. Renee

We got to know Stanley and Avis when we were young kids. We'd stop at their store on our way to the cabin at Rock Dam. They were always so friendly. I've run into Avis several times in Marshfield, and we always had a nice chat reminiscing about the past. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

Avis was one of the nicest people I have ever known, and I was lucky to be her friend for over 30 years. I will dearly miss not seeing her until we finally meet again.
To her entire family, may your tears of sorrow quickly change to tears of joy because of all the wonderful memories you have of Avis.

Dear Family:
Our family spent many happy hours at a little cabin in the woods near Willard. Avis was always such a lovely woman in not only her looks but her mannerisms and deeds. She and her husband were the 'rocks" of their community. Their leadership skills were appreciated by those in the area.
Avis was a dear lady and will be remembered all of those of us who knew her as a very lovely lady.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this sad time. Talked to Avis before she went to Orange Beach to ask if we were going and if she would see us there (we didn't go this year). Will sure miss seeing her there again, on numerous bus trips, and all our "chatty" phone conversations. She will be missed. Deb (Petkovsek) Adler

Avis was a wonderfully warm woman who adored her family. She always had a smile and a kind work for everyone. I enjoyed seeing her in
Festival Foods in Marshfield, where we would talk and visit. She will be very much missed.

Dear Pam and Tammy and families;
My most sincere and heartfelt condolences go out to you at this difficult time. I only learned of Avis' condition very recently, and was so saddened to hear of her passing. So many happy memories from our childhood come to mind, as well as admiration for Avis' compassion and friendship to everyone she came into contact with. She was truly a special lady. She will certainly be missed in the community, but knowing that she is no longer in pain and has joined the rank of one of God's angels, gives us some comfort and that although her physical presence is gone, she will always be in our hearts.

We're so sorry to hear about your moms passing. It will be a difficult task in telling my mother. I don't know if she'll understand. I recall the stories of as young girls going to the dances and working on the farm. What wonderful times our moms have shared!
I thank your family for the great times we've had at your Mead Lake cabin. Your mother was always smiling.
Blessings to you and your family,

Pam, Tammy and families,
Avis was a kind, wonderful and generous friend. Over the past five years, I've had the pleasure of snowbirding with her in Alabama. She always had a smile on her face and a warm welcome ready whenever I would pop down for a visit or just sit next to her on the bus going to get groceries. This past year we spent more time together and had grown even closer. While we have lost a friend, mother, and grandmother, Heaven has gained a beautiful soul. She will always have a special place in my heart!

Dear Pam & Tam,
Your parents helped me in so many ways as I was growing up. Pam, I have fond memories of spending time with you, filling shelves at the store on Fridays, and taking several trips with your family. Both of your parents have a special place in my heart. I will miss your Mom's Christmas letters.
God's peace and blessings to all of you.
